Bye-bye Hamburg

A big farewell party and a little boat parade were how the 24 crews of the HSH Nordbank blue race said good-bye to Hamburg. The winners had been honoured by a reception at the Hanseatic City’s Senate, and were cheered at the official prize-giving ceremony in the Race Village.

More than 2,500 on-lookers lined the shores of the river Elbe to say good-bye to the North-Atlantic sailors after the official ceremonies in Hamburg had ended.
